I have been watching the RNC and the DNC the past few weeks, and I have come to some interesting conclusions. While it has been somewhat hard to draw conclusions with all the rhetoric, here are 15 significant differences between the two major parties:
Democrats:
The government is responsible to make sure that all people can be successful.
The government’s role is to take care of the poor and needy in society.
Government is to provide equality for all – money should be taken from the rich and given to the poor and wealth should be distributed equally to all.
The rich naturally oppress the poor and need to be regulated and taxed. The rich got rich off the backs of the poor.
The government needs to make sure that everyone gets a fair chance.
Our goal is to help the poor have an opportunity to be part of the middle class.
The Republicans cater to the rich and don’t care about the poor.
Without government involvement, most people can not reach their dreams.
Government’s role is to oversee all that people, businesses and others do to insure that it is fair, equal, and just.
Government must stop all intolerance and discrimination.
Gay marriage and abortion are rights of citizens that government must protect.
Government must spend to stimulate the economy.
Government should be the ultimate controlling entity in society or mankind will oppress others.
We should strive for all people to be equal in wealth and opportunities.
Without a strong controlling government, society would digress and more people will sink into poverty.
Republicans:
Each person is responsible to make sure that he or she is successful.
All persons are responsible to take care of the poor and needy in society.
Each person should be allowed to keep what they work for and earn and use it as they see fit.
The rich got rich through hard work and ingenuity and they provide jobs and income for others.
The markets and society will make sure that everyone gets a fair chance.
Our goal is too allow free markets to raise the standard of living for all.
The Democrats want everyone to be in the middle class which will stifle innovation and bring down the standard of living for everyone.
Every person should have the opportunity to reach their dreams.
The costs of government control and regulation are greater than the benefits.
Government’s role is to protect individual rights.
Gay marriage is not a right – marriage is between a man and a woman. Abortion is murder and should not be protected by government.
Government must reduce taxes and allow businesses and individuals to spend to stimulate the economy.
Government should have a limited role in society, mankind should be in control of their own destiny.
We should strive for all people to have an equal opportunity to achieve wealth based upon their own efforts.
Governmental control and taxation stifle the economy, hurt investment and new business creation, reduce wealth, and create more poverty.
Which party is right? Which is wrong? I guess the people will make their selection in November.
